Tickle Taboo
.
Best with equal teams of 2-4 people each. (You can use more than two teams if you have 6 or more people.)
You will need the game taboo (or the substitute mentioned below, a buzzer/bell and an egg timer)
This can be played with the normal game of Taboo using standard rules. The catch is that every time you use a word you aren't supposed to, in addition to getting penalized and discarding the word, you get poked in the side. When the round is over, you get tickled by the other team for one minute for each discarded word. At the end of the game, the winning team gets to tickle the losing team for as long as they like. Just be aware that this often leads to a gang tickle fight. So, breakables should be kept out of range. lol
For those unfamiliar with the game... The group splits into two equal teams. The playing cards have one word at the top and five words below. The top word is your target word. As in password, the objective is to get your partner(s) to say the target word...but WITHOUT using any of the words below. One person from team A has the playing cards with one person from team B watching over their shoulder. A two minute egg timer (or other timer) keeps track of the turn. If they use one of the 5 words not allowed, the buzzer is rung and the player gets a quick poke/tickle in the side. The card is then set in a penalty pile as in the normal game. Cards where the team members guessed the correct word are set in a points pile. You can pass on a word and return it to the draw pile with no penalty if you're stumped.
Scoring is as follows. At the end of each turn, the correct answers are counted up. Then, any penalty points from the discards are deducted from that. This gives you your score for that turn. Don't forget the penalty tickles...one minute for each discard!
*** The regular cards can be substituted for with new tickle-related cards that I plan to make up. I'll have the file available for you to print and cut up as soon as I have time to make them. I've finally begun working on them and have 400 cards in the works.
