Humility

You are head of an abbey with a new member who seems to be overly confident of their own talents and knowledge.  Naturally, you're concerned that this will adversly effect their spiritual well-being.  After weeks of subtle hints to get them to ease up in their attitude, you decide that harsher methods are necessary to teach them humility.  Feel free to take as long as you deem necessary!
