Who's in charge of this place, anyway?! -
Well...the site is basicly developed and run by TklDuo-Ann. I get occassional help from a handful of others. Tracy (Kethry - FKA - Venraya) has taken over work on the offshoot couples site. Venray is always helpful in searching out additional information and contacts and lending support to whatever we do. We'd welcome others to join the team. See the main page here for details on what we're looking for if you're interested.

How did this site originate? -
One day, while in a particularly tickley mood, I (Ann) did a search on the topic of tickling. This was back in 1996. I was amazed to find a fairly "large" number of sites (30 or so seemed large to me at the time) on tickling. I surfed those sites for a few months before eventually deciding to attempt to put up one of my own. Thus, was born the Tickle Chamber. It was originally intended merely as a place to post my stories and have a little fun. I never imagined that it would last, much less grow so large...or bring me the love of my life. A few years later, after growing larger and moving from host to host, we decided to open a second site to provide gathering and safety information to the community. That site was called the Tickle Scene. Both sites remained active until life got in the way and I closed both becaue of my inability to keep them up-to-date.
In January of 2005, I'd become frustrated with some negative things that were creeping into my own community experience. I'd heard some complaints about these same issues from others as well. Part of me was tempted to simply walk away and no longer be an active part of the online community. But, I'm stubborn and wasn't ready to give up. I knew that I needed to get some more positive stuff going on...for my own sake and that of others. So, I decided to resurrect the old sies...now combined as one site with attached discussion groups. Thus was born the TK Community Think Tank.
While this began as an effort to improve my own experience, those I'd shared it with believed that it could help others as well. So, here we are. We're doing our best to provide a central clearinghouse of information for and about the community. We're gradually setting up cell groups for people who share common backgrounds of one sort or another. And, we're trying to be more involved in the many positives we see out there. In a way, you could say that this site (and all that goes with it) is a defiant slap in the face of those who would tear the community apart. They are few. They won't win. There's too much more positive stuff out there for the negatives to destroy us!
What's in store for this site down the road? -
Well, that's partly up to you. Yep. That's right. YOU. While we obviously will complete the sections we've already got going here, what else we add is up to those who visit here and what they want to see. So, if you have ideas for other things that would be helpful to the community, let us know and we'll consider adding it in.
